Preparations and Launch

Django on the hard

The boatyard lads came to finish polishing her hull. WW gave her antifouling paint a touch up. We called a taxi and took a run in to Grand Anse for provisions.

Shade: why boatyard people like cats

We had a nice lunch at De Big Fish, but it seemed to take forever to arrive. Meals are delivered in order and are all made fresh. WW had callaloo soup, I had a delicious salad. We inhaled them, then dashed off to the sailmaker to collect our repaired mainsail and genoa. WW started the fridge up and I stashed our provisions. At 2:30 p.m., the marine lift arrived. Django was running away to sea.

Lift off

The launch was poetry in motion (these guys have done this once or twice before). Django's engines started without too much protesting. We filled her water tanks and stocked up on ice. Then we cast off and motored out to anchor in Prickly Bay.
